The Sickness
It’s hard to make work when you’re sick. It’s hard to think about it too. I’ve been running myself ragged for the last few months, and today, the day I planned to stay home and take care of things was the day it all caught up with me.
I’m sick. Not just “oh, I feel a bit under the weather” but slept from 8:30 last night till 4:00 this afternoon. Tried to take a shower, needed to rest after that. Can’t breathe through my nose, and I have no idea what the food I had for dinner tasted like (but I know it was healthy, 13-bean stew with potatoes, carrots, celery, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes). I don’t often get this sick, but lately, my immune system has been running on empty, it seems.
So, I wanted to update the blog here with something relevant, interesting, creative or thoughtful, but instead – it’s just a health note – that I’m sick, and you should rest before you get sick, otherwise you’ll get smacked down completely.
