Wall is a time based installation piece from 2006. In this artwork, I investigate the meaning of place, and how it relates to experience. The video was shot on site in an apartment in Red Hook, New York. The installation involves projecting the video into a gallery space, which contrasts with the domestic environment of the original capture. The projection is displayed at a life-size scale, with the audio piped into the gallery environment. The questions raised by this work include "What is the experience of a space?" "How do we define the purpose of a space?" and "Are there key indicators of a domestic environment that triggers a memory experience?" among others.
